Vision
Envision Prescott Memorial Library as an exemplary library that supports a top public research university
with an unparalleled integrated educational experience:
(1) Advancing recruitment and retention of a model student body and university community;
(2) Supporting integration of learning, discovery, and development for an unparalleled education; and
(3) Enabling elevation of the university’s research and graduate program to national prominence and expansion of its engine for economic growth.
Mission
Prescott Memorial Library exists to support the curricular, research, and service activities of Louisiana Tech University. Prescott Memorial Library strives to provide this support to all constituents of the University. In meeting the Strategic Plan strategies the Library depends on the following:
A. Budget support at a level in keeping with the curricular, research and service missions of Louisiana Tech University
B. Staffing at a level in keeping with the curricular, research and service missions of Louisiana Tech University
C. Facilities that allow for the implementation by the Library of its support role for the University

Primary Strategy 1.1
Establish and maintain library facilities that bolster university recruitment and retention efforts and provide flexibility in accommodating current and future program and services needs and expectations.
